This was the third of Alan Ayckbourn’s Norman Trilogy which Sue Hickson had directed, thereby completing her set. Played to full houses, this sparkling production contained pace, characterization and wit, and the ensemble playing from the cast produced some achingly funny moments; it also touched the darker places that Ayckbourn seems to find in the tragedy and absurdity of everyday life.
