Norah Atkinson

Sadly, we have to record the passing of (Aunty) Norah Atkinson.

She was one of the longest-serving members of the Society, and could remember when productions were presented at the old cinema.

More recently, Norah has been a mainstay of refreshments for all our plays, both organising tea and coffee for the audience, and providing interval refreshments for the cast - including her famous and much-coveted ginger biscuits!

The Society was well-represented at her funeral and sent a donation.

We were also very pleased to host the funeral wake at The Playhouse as this seemed fitting for such a staunch and much-loved lady.
